Effective date: October 12, 2026

CalcPet ("we", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use calcpet.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect very little, we never sell anything, and most of your data stays right in your own browser.

Information we collect

When you contact us

If you use our contact form, we receive the information you type into it: your name, your email address, and your message. We use this only to read and reply to your message. We do not add you to any mailing list, and we do not share your details with anyone else.

Analytics (optional)

We may use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the site — for example, which tools are popular. Analytics data is collected in anonymized, aggregated form and cannot be used to identify you personally.

Cookies and Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to show ads that keep CalcPet free. AdSense and its partners use cookies — small files stored in your browser — to serve ads based on your prior visits to our site and other sites on the web.

  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to CalcPet and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
  • You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info/choices.
  • You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. The site will still work — you may simply see less relevant ads.

We do not control the cookies set by Google or other ad partners, and this policy covers only our own practices. Google's own privacy practices are described in Google's Privacy Policy.

On-device storage (localStorage)

Some of our interactive features — such as checklist progress, quiz results, and theme preferences — are saved in your browser's localStorage. This data lives only on your device: it is never sent to our servers, we cannot see it, and deleting your browser data removes it completely.

How we use information

We use the limited information we collect to:

  • Reply to your contact messages and feedback.
  • Understand aggregate usage so we can improve our tools.
  • Keep the site secure and prevent abuse (for example, spam through the contact form).

What we never do

  • We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.
  • We do not require accounts, logins, or sign-ups — there is nothing to leak.
  • We do not collect precise location data, health data, or payment information.

Data retention

Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your request, after which they may be deleted. Anonymized analytics data follows Google's retention settings.

Children's privacy

CalcPet is a general-audience site, but we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has sent us personal information, please email [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.

Your choices and rights

You can clear cookies and localStorage through your browser at any time. If you have contacted us and want your message deleted, email [email protected] and we will take care of it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date above. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
