CalcPet is a free resource for dog and cat owners. To help cover our costs and keep all of our tools free, some pages on this site — including our Pet Parent Picks guides — contain affiliate links.
What that means
When you click an affiliate link on CalcPet and make a purchase, we may earn a commission from the retailer at no extra cost to you. The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our link or go to the retailer directly.
Amazon Associates
CalcPet is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, CalcPet earns from qualifying purchases.
How we choose what to recommend
- We start from products with large numbers of verified-buyer ratings and strong bestseller rankings — never from paid placements.
- Every product review lists genuine pros and cons, including the complaints buyers mention most often.
- Ratings and review counts quoted on this site were accurate when the article was written and can change over time. Always check the live product page for the latest information.
- We never state exact prices in our guides because prices change frequently. Use the "Check Price" buttons to see the current price on Amazon.
Your trust matters more than a commission
If we would not feel comfortable recommending a product to a friend, we do not recommend it here — regardless of the commission rate. If you ever feel a recommendation missed the mark, please tell us.
